HOW TO APPLY

The Tumor Biology PhD Program requires an online application to be completed to the Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) through the Georgetown Graduate School of Arts and Sciences application portal. Application elements, including letters of recommendation, are required to be submitted through the online application system. Only transcripts and test scores should be submitted independently by the applicant's previous academic institution(s) and testing agency. 

Transcripts

Applicants are required to upload to the application system unofficial transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended. Please do not send electronic or paper copies of your official transcripts before receiving an offer of admission. For additional details review Admissions FAQ.

  • Academic Statement of Purpose - (Include your reasons for choosing tumor biology research as a career and your past research experience, if any)
  • Three recommendations
  • Transcript(s)
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is optional but may be included - Georgetown University Code: 5244
  • TOEFL / IELTS (if applicable) - Georgetown University Code: 5244, IELTS is paper-based only
  • WES evaluation of international transcripts required
